Projected from dusk until dawn for 7 weeks onto a Frank Furness building on Broad street inPhiladelphia.
Shown January 24h - February 20th at The Philadelphia Academy of the Fine Arts entitled ‘Monuments to Failure’. This peice consists of seven new video works entirely curated by Lino Kino. This exhibition seeks to question everyday assumptions about the roles and implicit meanings of monumental art in public spaces, through the creation of explicitly “anti-monumental” work presented on a monumental scale. These video monuments consider subjects that are not usually memorialized—such as failure, loss, entropy, the mundane, and the unacknowledged. entropy, the mundane, and the unacknowledged.
