Fabricas is a series spotlighting the women who work in Argentina's recovered [reclaimed] factories
after the 2001 financial crisis. These massive cultural shifts occurred over twenty years ago and much
has happened since. The young spirited radicals who fought in the streets for the right to collectively
own their factories have grown up. It begs the question; who are they now? How have these
experiences influenced their gendered relationships? Are these leaderless factories truly spaces of
justice and equality like they were intended, or were some changes more sustainable than others?
Installations included utilzied projection mapping software to trace the outline of this plant and
projected footage I shot while visiting these factories when I lived in Argentina.
