FRAMES is a formalist study in confinement and expressions of constraint. Through each segment, a language of images and meaning is developed and the weight of control is found. The scenes are carefully stitched together with each one emphasizing the next. Original score created by Rahul Nair using a theremin. This piece was first screened in a cavernous and particularly dark black room. The theremin responded to the number of bodies in the space and their movement- intensifying the more crowded the room became. When viewing please turn the volume up LOUD.
